Clinical experiences and student teaching for the Madison Professional Development School (PDS) program occur entirely at the Madison Elementary School District. The Madison PDS program is a full-time, 12-month, day program that requires summer coursework and field experience.

Prospective students prepared to become exceptional new teachers through the Madison Professional Development School (PDS) receive unrivaled education and guidance throughout the program. Mentor teachers and CTEL faculty provide teacher education students in-depth feedback and guidance on their development as effective classroom teachers.

Current research shows teachers prepared through the PDS program are more confident, prepared, and ultimately better able to deliver student achievement results from their first year of teaching and beyond. The Madison PDS program emphasizes practical classroom applications based on the latest theory, research, and best practices.

See the PDS Cohort Schedule for admission dates.
