Diversity in Language and Learning - ESL	Elementary (grades 1-8)	English as a Second Language (Full) Structured English Immersion	The Diversity in Language and Learning - ESL program prepares individuals to teach in an English as a Second Language elementary school environment. Applicants should possess a desire to work with children who are acquiring English skills.
Diversity in Language and Learning - Madison PDS	Elementary (grades 1-8)	Bilingual Education Endorsement K-12 English as a Second Language (Full)	Clinical experiences and student teaching for the Madison Professional Development School (PDS) program occur entirely at the Madison Elementary School District. The Madison PDS program is a full-time, 12-month, day program that requires summer coursework and field experience.
Diversity in Language and Learning - Roosevelt PDS	Elementary (grades 1-8)	Bilingual Education Endorsement K-12 English as a Second Language (Full) Structured English Immersion	Clinical experiences and student teaching for the Roosevelt Professional Development School (PDS) program occur entirely at the Roosevelt Elementary School District. The Roosevelt PDS program is a full-time, 24-month, evening program that requires summer field experience.
Diversity in Language and Learning - Rural PDS	Elementary (grades 1-8)	Bilingual Education Endorsement K-12 English as a Second Language (Full) Structured English Immersion	Clinical experiences and student teaching for the rural Professional Development School (PDS) programs occur entirely at partner district sites. The rural PDS programs are full-time, 24-month, evening programs that require summer teaching experiences.
Diversity in Language and Learning - Urban PDS	Elementary (grades 1-8)	Bilingual Education Endorsement K-12 English as a Second Language (Full) Structured English Immersion	Clinical experiences and student teaching for the urban Professional Development School (PDS) programs occur entirely at partner district sites. The urban PDS programs are full-time, 18-month, daytime programs that require summer teaching experiences.
Early Childhood Education	Early Childhood (birth - grade 3)	English as a Second Language (Provisional) Structured English Immersion	The Early Childhood Education program prepares students for careers working with infants and children in grades K-3. Students gain an understanding of the educational needs and challenges facing early learners.
Elementary Education	Elementary (grades 1-8)	English as a Second Language (Provisional) Structured English Immersion	The Elementary Education program prepares students to design and implement instructional programs for children in grades 1-8. The program leads to eligibility for teaching certification within the state of Arizona.
Secondary Education	Secondary (grades 7-12)	English as a Second Language (Provisional) Structured English Immersion	Professional programs in Secondary Education prepare students to teach a variety of subjects in grades 7-12. In addition to education methods courses, students must complete 44 to 48 hours in a chosen subject area. These programs equip students with the in-depth knowledge and teaching strategies necessary to serve the educational needs and challenges of students at the secondary level.
Secondary Physical Education	Secondary (grades 7-12)	Physical Education	This program trains students to teach physical education, coach, or work in the sports and recreation field. Students will be eligible for Arizona certification to teach physical education in grades K-12.
Special Education with Dual Certification in Elementary Education	Cross-Categorical Special Education (grades K-12) Elementary (grades 1-8)	English as a Second Language (Provisional) Structured English Immersion	This program prepares undergraduate students for careers working with students in grades K-12 who have learning disabilities, mild mental retardation, or emotional/behavioral disorders. Students in the Special Education program gain an in-depth understanding of the various disabilities and learn strategies and techniques to support and teach individuals with special needs.
