Clinical experiences and student teaching for the Madison Professional Development School (PDS) program occur entirely at the Madison Elementary School District. The Madison PDS program is a full-time, 12-month, day program that requires summer coursework and field experience.

Elementary Education - Initial Teacher Certification M.Ed. Structured English Immersion

The accelerated Elementary Education Master's with Arizona Certification (MAC) programs lead to certification in grades 1-8. Programs are offered in the Deer Valley school district and at the Tempe campus. Another Elementary Education program is offered in Osborn school district.

Elementary Education - Initial Teacher Certification (Osborn) M.Ed. Structured English Immersion

The accelerated Elementary Education Master's with Arizona Certification (MAC) programs lead to certification in grades 1-8. This program is offered in the Osborn school district. Additional Elementary Education programs are available in the Deer Valley school district and at the Tempe campus.

Elementary Education - InMAC M.Ed. Structured English Immersion

The Elementary Education Induction, Master's with Arizona Certification (InMAC) program is designed for students who are working full-time within an Arizona elementary school while completing coursework.

In addition to education methods courses, students complete coursework offered through the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts. These programs equip students with the in-depth knowledge and teaching strategies necessary to serve the educational needs and challenges of students at the secondary level.

This program prepares undergraduate students for careers working with students in grades K-12 who have learning disabilities, mild mental retardation, or emotional/behavioral disorders. Students in the Special Education program gain an in-depth understanding of the various disabilities and learn strategies and techniques to support and teach individuals with special needs.

Special Education with Elementary Certification M.Ed. Structured English Immersion

The Special Education Master's with Arizona Certification (MAC) program leads to an Arizona K-12 special education certification and an Arizona 1-8 elementary certification. Coursework for the required Structured English Immersion endorsement is included.

Special Education with Elementary Certification - ASPIRE M.Ed. Structured English Immersion

The ASPIRE (Arizona Special Initiative to Recruit and Retain Educators) Special Education M.Ed. program leads to dual Arizona certification in K-12 special education and 1-8 elementary education. Coursework for the required Structured English Immersion endorsement is included.
